Every Monday morning, I will post a topic on my blog, which you are reading these instructions from. Once you have read my topic, you will need to leave a comment on my page. However, this "comment" should be more than one sentence. It should be your response to the question I am posting on my blog. I would really like to encourage you all to try to write as much as you can. Although I would like for you to write as much as you can, please do not spend more than 30 minutes writing them.

If you read a comment from your classmates that you find to be interesting, feel free to comment to them as well! Lets try to make this as interactive via the Internet as possible. Your responses and comments will need to be completed by 8:00 p.m. each Friday that a blog topic is posted. There will be no exception! Therefore, plan on completing this assignment before the Friday deadline in order to ensure that you receive full credit, which will be 10 points for each week.

On a final note, these blogs are intended to be fun and to allow you to further practice writing in English in a variety of avenues. Be adventurous and express yourselves! Although we may occasionally use some of your blog entries for grammar practice, these blogs are primarily focused on content. Have fun!!

Topic 4: Love

As you all know, today is Valentine's Day.  Do you also have Valentine's Day in your country?  If so, how is it celebrated?  Do the men do something for the women?  Do the women do something for the men?  If you do not have Valentine's Day in your country, do you have any holiday which is to help celebrate love?  What is it called?  How is it celebrated?  Do you like having these kind of holidays?

    Yes, in my country we have Valentine's Day.
    Most time Valentine's Day is not rest, we still to stardy or work,but we will give some gift to whom are we care about,and give spriesis to who you love.
    In 2/14 my country student are still in the holiday for Chinese new year,so in the shopping mall or movie stor you will see many younger lover but not much adul people before they finish their work.
    In my country also have another day for lovers ,the day is in the summer for lounr clender.
    We have a love story for the day,the day is also a important day for our live.

    We do not have valentines day in my country but some people they do the valentines day.
    Some people have special celebrate it is usulaly between husband and wife .Sometimes the women do things for the man and sometimes the men do things for women .like birthday and wedding anniversary.I like these kind of holidays because it is change my mood and I forget everythings about the effect side in my dark life.

    I know Valentine's day. It means love day. In fact we have Valentine's day in Iran on same day. On this day (valentine's day) everybody buys gift for her or his love. They buy chocolate,flower,toy and darlin and many things but in Iran perfum is very popular for Valentine's day, also evreybody buys or make a beatiful pack or packet or box to put a gift to that. Men usually buy darlin and many red heart toys and roz flower for women with special gift mabe perfum or any jewlery or any things. Women usually buy or make anice pack or box and put many stuff to that chocolate, candy, red heart toys and special gift for example wach is very popular. Also Iran has a special day for love ! this day name is Sepandar Marzgan, this day is very historic and very old in Iran I think Sepandar Marzgan date back to 2700 years ago ! yes it is very old. This day is four days after Valentine's day. Some Iranian people attend to Valentine;s day and some People

      the Sepandarmazgan, or Esfandegan, is a festival where people express love towards their mother and wives. It was also a celebration of Earth in ancient Persian cultule.
      Zartosht was the first religon in Iran Sepandarmazgan, or Esfandegan has taken about Zartosht.

    First of all i would like to say happy valentine for all. We have valentine's day in my country. It's special day in my country for a few people but not all the people celebrated . Most of them they don't like to take care about it. Next, a few people take care about it. The men buy a gift for his wife and the women try to make herslfe to be beautiful more than what she is now . Sometime the chilldren like to going to have fun in somewhere. Fainlly, why the people like to do this day? because the message of this day to make your love for your girlfriend or boyfriend stronge than the past time .

    Yes sure we have a valentine day in my country . we celebrated by wear a red clothes

    and give for the special people a nice red present and also in my country most people

    celebrated by go to the resturant and do it a surprice for each others . There are some

    It's not important day in my country becouse we are muslim but some men or women are celebrating Valentine's Day and they have servel ways like give a gift , chocolate , flowers , hugs , get together and making dinner and dancing , etc .

    my country don't have a valentine's day . Today is frist valentine's day for me .I think no any one can i love him same my family . I call my family last night and i tell him i love you to much and i miss you .I have question. What we can do in this day if we don't have girl friend here ..?

      Hahahahaha!! Faisal, you are so funny! In the United States, many men will give gifts to women. Therefore, lots of chocolate, roses, teddy bears, perfume, and jewelry are given. Unfortunately, we do not get a holiday to rest on this day. Although it is a holiday and many people celebrate it, we still have to go to school. Haha!

    We don't have Valentine in K.S.A but if we have in K.S.A same the anther canters . The men he live the women and the women she live the men .The Valentine not afire day but in K.S.A afire day we have Valentine;s day . We have the holidays tow holidays in the K.S.A.
